Indian AI-Powered Building Materials Quick Commerce Platform Raises $5.5 Million In Seed Round

Fixxly, an Indian quick commerce platform

Fixxly, an Indian quick commerce platform built for building materials, has raised $5.5 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by prominent venture capital firms Accel, with participation from Fireside Ventures and Lightspeed India Partners.

Founded in 2026 by seasoned industry veterans Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, Fixxly aims to fundamentally modernize how construction, renovation, and home improvement supplies are procured in India. The fresh capital will be deployed to strengthen the startup’s core technology infrastructure and scale operations ahead of its official commercial launch in September of 2026.

The Founders

Fixxly is steered by a founding team bringing deep, hands-on domain expertise across home interiors, supply chain management, and high-growth e-commerce logistics:

  • Shezan Bhojani (Co-Founder & CEO): An experienced entrepreneur who previously co-founded DesignCafe, a major home-interiors company.
  • Sachith Varma (Co-Founder): Brings extensive consumer internet, inventory optimization, and last-mile operational background from major logistics and quick-commerce firms like Zepto and Flipkart.

Solving Fragmentation in India’s Construction Sector

Traditionally, sourcing building materials has been a pain point. Contractors, interior designers, and individual homeowners have long relied on localized physical dealers, unorganized distributors, and irregular delivery schedules. These friction points frequently cause worksites to stall, leading to severe financial and temporal losses.

Fixxly is designed to cut through these inefficiencies by bridging quick-commerce execution with heavy-material procurement. The platform targets a wide spectrum of professional and consumer buyers, including contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, interior designers, and homeowners. It handles critical essentials such as:

  • Plywood and panel products
  • Paints and finishing supplies
  • Electrical wiring and equipment
  • Lighting fixtures
  • Hardware and plumbing materials

Powered by an AI-Driven Logistics Engine

At the heart of Fixxly’s operational model is a technology-first supply network. The startup operates through a targeted network of local dark stores governed by an AI-powered matching engine.

This technology evaluates real-time inventory availability, customer or worksite proximity, and granular demand patterns to calculate optimal fulfillment routes. By automating these logistics vectors, Fixxly ensures that essential supplies can be delivered straight to active worksites in as little as 30 minutes, effectively eliminating downtime and supply chain waste.

Launch Roadmap & Expansion Plans

With its seed capital secured, Fixxly is gearing up for its high-profile commercial rollout scheduled for September 1, 2026.

The platform will initially go live in Bengaluru, serving as its launchpad before expanding its quick-commerce footprint into other major Indian cities in the future. As quick-commerce stretches past traditional groceries and FMCG goods into specialized B2B and heavy-use sectors, Fixxly’s heavily backed debut signals a major shift toward digitized, high-speed construction logistics in India.
