Motorola has expanded its tablet portfolio in India with the launch of the Moto Pad 70 5G. The new tablet comes with a large 2.5K display, 5G connectivity, a high-capacity battery and a bundled Moto Pen. It joins the existing Moto Pad 70 Pro and Moto Pad 70 Groove in Motorola’s tablet lineup.
Moto Pad 70 5G specifications
The tablet features a 12.1-inch 2.5K IPS display with a 2560×1600 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It offers up to 800 nits of peak brightness and covers 96% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.
The Moto Pad 70 has a metal construction and is approximately 6.49mm thick, weighing around 530 grams. It comes in a Pantone Titan Sea Angel finish and carries an IP52 rating for protection against dust and light splashes.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. Buyers can choose between 128GB and 256GB storage options, with support for microSD expansion of up to 2TB.
The device runs Android 16 out of the box. Motorola says it will receive operating system upgrades along with three years of security updates.
Battery, cameras and connectivity
The Moto Pad 70 packs a 10,200mAh battery and supports 68W charging, with the charger included in the box. For audio, it features four speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
For photography and video calls, the tablet has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2 and USB-C. The tablet also includes a microSD card slot and a pogo-pin connector for a compatible keyboard.
Moto Pen included
Motorola is bundling the Moto Pen with the tablet. The stylus supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt detection and palm rejection. It also includes an AI Rewrite feature designed to help refine handwritten or typed notes.
Price and availability in India
The Moto Pad 70 5G starts at ₹33,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB + 256GB model costs ₹36,999.
The tablet will be available in the Pantone Titan Sea Angel colour and goes on sale from August 15 through Flipkart, Motorola’s official website and select retail outlets across India.
